As users scroll through the website, the sections evolve from light to dark and back again. Reflecting Kasa Moto’s day-to-night concept, bright, minimalist menus are followed by a starry night sky. Just below the “About” section, a tile design (borrowed from the restaurant’s walls) is layered over an abstract photograph of a fish being carved. Only partially revealed, this textured imagery creates a sense of mystery - suggestive of Kasa Moto in the evening.
KasaMoto.ca also introduces visitors to the rich materials and texture of the restaurant’s interiors. Photographs of on-site design elements: the wallpaper and black iron screen in the “Reserve a Table” section, a commissioned painting of koi fish, marble countertops, and black and white floor tiles are repurposed as backgrounds and layering elements on the website.
